The wait for one of Grand Rapids’ largest ongoing developments is almost over. While team HAPPY PR is busy preparing for one of the most highly anticipated grand openings in West Michigan this fall, we wanted to take a moment to share some of the highlights and what we look forward to most about Studio Park.

1. Movies Downtown

While there are plenty of great spots to see a movie around Grand Rapids, the downtown area hasn’t been one of them. Studio Park is changing that with a movie theater by Studio C, where you can catch the next Star Wars movie on the largest screen in West Michigan, all while reclining with your favorite drink.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, you’ll also be able to enjoy movies under the stars, with the outdoor piazza and other special events hosted at Studio Park.

You can grab tickets for the movie theater later this summer.

2. Concerts

There’s already a great line up for Studio Park’s new music venue, The Listening Room, including well-known names like The Verve Pipe and Kris Allen – and most tickets are less than 30 bucks!

The intimate venue offers just 200 seats, making it a great location for up close and personal concerts, as well as community events and meetings.

3. Dining

Whether you love coney dogs or freshly squeezed juices (like our publicist Alex!), Studio Park will have something to suit your fancy.

The development’s flagship restaurant, One Twenty Three Tavern, will offer classic American comfort foods with a modern twist. Visitors can also find favorites like Leo’s Coney Island, Pump House Frozen Yogurt, and Malamiah Juice Bar, which will relocate to Studio Park from its current spot in the Downtown Market.

Funky Buddha Yoga is coming to Studio Park.

4. Shopping, Strolling, Stretching

Besides food and entertainment, guests can shop at one of Studio Park’s local boutiques and shops, stroll around the outdoor piazza, or get their sweat on at Funky Buddha Yoga. There will be no shortage of parking, as the development will have almost 1,000 parking spaces in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids.

5. Events

There will be many events and community-centric happenings that will evolve as Studio Park becomes a signature destination in downtown Grand Rapids. Visitors can expect plenty of outdoor events in the piazza, concerts, and much more.

The 62,500-square-foot development is expected to open on September 26 and is located at 123 Ionia Avenue NW.
